Electronic Classroom

The Electronic Classroom is equipped with 17 computers for student/patron use and an instructor terminal which is connected to a video projector unit. Instructors may reserve the classroom by contacting their library liaison by phone or by e-mail. The room serves as a computer lab when it is not being used for course instruction.

Education Resources Room

The Education Resources Room is located at the back of Young Library on the right side. This room houses an Elision machine with templates and a variety of Vacation Bible School and Sunday School curriculums.

Hoven Center Meeting Room

Named for former professor Ard Hoven, the Hoven Center is a meeting room located in the front left portion of Young Library. It seats nine people comfortably. Utilization of the Hoven Center is by reservation, which may be made by telephone or at the Circulation Desk.

Student Academic Success Services Center

The Student Academic Success Services Center (SASS) is now located within the Periodical Room of Young Library. It has been established to help students meet the challenges that come up in their classes. Staffed each day, the Center is open from 9:00 - 4:00 Monday thru Friday and 6pm - 9pm Monday thru Thursday. Students are encouraged to stop in for academic assistance when the need arises.

Equipment

Camcorders

Digital camcorders are available for use as needed for assignments. Reservations for use of a camcorder may be made at the circulation desk or by telephone. All camcorders use SD cards to record. USB cords are available for checkout to download files. Patrons checking out camcorders will be held responsible for the cost of replacing any damaged or missing parts.

***Fines for the late return of camcorders will be charged at the rate of $5.00 per hour.

TV/VCR/DVD Viewing

Viewing stations are available in the periodicals room. VHS tapes and DVDs placed on reserve by instructors may be viewed at these locations. The stations are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Headphones

Headphones are available for checkout at the circulation desk. These are available for 4 hours and are for in-library use only. Students checking out headphones should be prepared to leave their Student ID card at the circulation desk until the headphones are returned. Patrons are encouraged to use headphones for any audio materials so that fellow patrons are not disturbed.
